My daughter is 9 mo old and this is her 1st Christmas. Being that it's her 1st Christmas, we are very sad that her Daddy is currently in Iraq and won't be spending the holidays with us. Your generosity has brightened up our holiday- despite the sadness we feel that my husband isn't here, your tree has enlightened our lives and has filled our house with Christmas cheer. Thank you very much for your priceless gift and for thinking of those military families who are left behind to celebrate the holidays without their loved one who is thousands of miles away.

Thank you so much. My husband is missing his third Christmas in a row and everyone was feeling very blue around our house. When I heard about the "Trees for Troops" I was so touched. Sometimes it feels like you are all alone missing your loved one and trying to keep the families spirits up. Knowing that someone cared enough to make sure our family got a tree for Christmas means so much to me. A little be less alone. To all of the "Angels" our there, thank you.

Dear FedEx and all your sponsors, Our family was one of many that received a free tree at Camp Pendleton this year-just wanted to thank you all so much for this event! There may not be snow on the ground here in Southern California, but the fresh smell of a beautiful Christmas tree has helped make it feel like Christmas inside our home. Our 15 month-old son is amazed everyday with our tree and points at it over and over again. Thanks again to all the sponsors who participate in making this happen, and all the FedEx volunteers who were out there that day. Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for the new year! Regards, SSgt. Justin Erickson and Family USMC

I was searching the internet and came across your story on the front page of AOL. I do believe every little bit helps make it a bit easier for our brave troops; no matter what your opinion of the war. Mr Wheeler, from your humility and your actions in donating trees (and I'm sure that is just the start of what you do since giving people are like that in many aspects of their life) I wanted to modestly say "Thank You" while it won't convey how much I think of your actions. I am not a vetern and luckily don't know anyone personally that has been hurt in the war, but I appreciate people like yourself that honor our troops by doing what they can. If I lived by you in Ohio I'd want to volunteer my time as I know it would be a rewarding experience. Best of luck with your recovery from your prostate cancer! Thank you again and Happy Holidays! Sincerely, Penelope Pmuffin27@aol.com
