Thanks to our 2013 Donors

Trees for Troops couldn't happen each year without the generous farms and retail lots who donate trees. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, money, resources and support to the 2013 Trees for Troops program. View the 2013 Tree Donor List.
Trees for Troops 2014 is Under Way!
Imagine a smiling group of U.S. troops gathered around a Christmas Tree that was grown on an American farm and express shipped to arrive fresh and green somewhere on the other side of the world, just in time for Christmas. Or, imagine a spouse and children sharing joyous memories of Christmas through the gift of free, real Christmas Tree while their family member is away serving our country. Trees for Troops® makes this vision a reality!

A New Way to Help
Trees for Troops is excited to announce the launch of an online, buy-a-tree campaign. The One Thousand Tree Campaign is a convenient online program that will run through the end of November. Each year, Trees for Troops has to turn down nearly one thousand tree requests from military families across the U.S. because of supply. This year we hope to bridge that gap by letting the public purchase trees online. Each $40 donation to the campaign will provide one farm-grown Christmas Tree to a military family and ensure it gets delivered via FedEx in time for the holidays. 2014 Kickoff and International Trees
The 2014 program kicked off on Tuesday, November 18, at Dull's Tree Farm in Thorntown, Indiana. The event was filled with excitement as FedEx volunteers, Indiana Department of Agriculture, Indiana Christmas Tree growers and local FFA students helped organize, pack and load 200 trees to be shipped to U.S. troops stationed at OB Fenty in Afghanistan, Naval Base Guam and Anderson Air Force Base in Guam.  Pictures from the event are posted on our Facebook Page.

Trees for Troops Weekend, Dec. 5-7, 2014
Consumers can be a part of this wonderful program by visiting one of the farms or retail lots across the country that will be participating in Trees for Troops Weekend this year.  Each of these locations will have a FedEx trailer parked at their farm/lot so you can purchase a tree and then place it on the truck to be donated and delivered to a military family at one of our participating bases the following week. Click here for a list of locations participating in Trees for Troops Weekend.

U.S. Base Deliveries
This year, Trees for Troops hopes to deliver more than 17,000 trees in total with a majority of those going to military families stationed at military installations across the U.S.  The deliveries will take place at 60+ bases covering every branch of the armed services.  Bases are in the process of being "signed up" with the program, with permission from their branch of service. View the complete delivery schedule (as of Nov. 19).

Your Help is Needed Year-Round
Trees for Troops counts on donations from the public to make this program succeed, and our fundraising drive for Trees for Troops 2014 is in full force. You can support Trees for Troops through your tax-deductible donation or by becoming a sponsor. The Christmas SPIRIT Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Your tax-deductible charitable contribution will help those in service to their country and their families receive a Real Christmas Tree and keep the spirit of a traditional Christmas celebration alive. Since 2005, Trees for Troops has provided more than 139,000 Christmas Trees to military families and troops in the United States and overseas.

Thank you for your support, and Merry Christmas!
